The first day of the New Year! We hope everyone enjoyed New Year's Eve!
What's the Best way to bring-in the New Year?....A Great Joke! Thanks Jim!
The Navy found they had too many officers and decided to offer an early retirement bonus. They promised any officer who volunteered for Retirement a bonus of $1,000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any Two points in his body.. The officer got to choose what those two points would be.
The first officer who accepted asked that he be measured from the top of His head to the tip of his toes. He was measured at six feet and walked out with a bonus of $72,000. The second officer who accepted was a little smarter and asked to be measured from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. He walked Out with $96,000.
The third one was a non-commissioned officer, a grizzly old Chief who, when asked where he would like to be measured replied, 'From the tip of my weenie to my testicles.'
It was suggested by the pension man that he might want to reconsider, explaining about the nice big checks the previous two Officers had received. But the old Chief insisted and they decided to go along with him providing the measurement was taken by a Medical Officer. The Medical Officer arrived and instructed the Chief to 'drop 'em,' which He did. The medical officer placed the tape measure on the tip of the Chief's member and began to work back.
Dear Lord!' he suddenly exclaimed, 'Where Are your testicles?' The old Chief calmly replied, ' Vietnam'.
If that isn't a Great Joke....I don't know what a Great Joke is! Thanks again Jim! :-)

We have a Winter Storm moving in here this afternoon....Life in Akron Ohio....

We hope everyone had a nice Russian Orthodox Christmas! Brett flew-in here late last evening from England....
He will be here with us for a few days. We really enjoy having our members visit with us....We will be showing Brett some USA style hospitality! We will be making a call to Brett's Tanya today....This will be their first phone call. Those are always exciting! Nina will be helping with translation....Brett & Tanya will be hearing each other's voices and speaking with each other for the first time!

We have Brett here with us....We made our phone call with Brett's Tanya yesterday....Those are always really exciting! We hope everyone had a nice weekend! We had our good Friend & Member Brett with us, we took Brett to the airport last evening. Brett made it home already, he tells us he had a good flight back home. Brett was here with us for 4 days....Those days just ran-by so fast!

An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years.
He had a large pond in the back.
It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple, and peach trees.
One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.
He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.
As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.
As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.
He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.
One of the women shouted to him, 'we're not coming out until you leave!'
The old man frowned, 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.'
Holding the bucket up he said, 'I'm here to feed the alligator.'
Us old guys can still think fast.

Dear Walter, I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than 5 miles down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbors' daughter. I'm 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbors' daughter is 22. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I'd leave him. He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counseling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him any more. Can you please help?

Dear Sheila: A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it's clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors.
