We went to the Portage Lakes Antique Boat Show on Saturday, had a Blast! The weather was picture perfect....I'm talking about sunny and 78 degrees....And the Antique Boats were amazing! These owners put literally thousands of man hours into these "Works-Of-Art"....And many were nice enough to explain the prep/restoration work to us. Here are a few photos....

We're hanging around this sprinkly/rainy afternoon enjoying the day....Except for this:
Our fine web-hosting company, VIA Networks, located in Atlanta....has screwed-up the server that our original site resides on, that site is our A Belarus Bride .com site. So....A Belarus Bride .com is not working since sometime last night....It's now about 1:15 in the afternoon here. Of course....when we e-mail and call our wonderful web-hosting company, VIA Networks, located in Atlanta....they say they are "working" on the problem. How impressive.
When we called at 10:15 this morning to ask what the problem is exactly....The tech people weren't even aware they had a problem. When we ask how long till our site is up and running again....They don't know. How impressive.
When we call tech support this afternoon....We get stuck on endless "hold"....listening to a commercial about how wonderful VIA Networks, located in Atlanta, is, and how wonderful their service is. How impressive.
When people ask us why we run two sites, .com and .net....Now you know.
On a happier note....We had our neighborhood Fourth Of July Parade....Easy for us to watch since it goes past our place....It's tradition you understand....Here are a few photos....The kids really enjoy the police office running his siren and lights....And....that is one way to wake up at 9:30 am....;-) Enjoy!

To report that our original site, A Belarus Bride.com is up and working again. VIA Networks actually got the job done....And this time it didn't take two weeks to get the site back up and running. Thank You....VIA Networks! Now....we can go back to being our "normal"... and happy selves....Happy Fourth Of July! :-)

We get a bit pissed-off with these American Corps. that pay the top 5 guys many millions of dollars....and at the same time cut their service departments....And every other department they have....to the bone. When you need service....God help you.

We've been getting some much needed rain here the last couple days....The trees and flowers are happy....
Here's an interesting tid-bit. We were watching "The Daily Show" last night....John Stewart had the guy who created "The Simpsons" on....Now you need to understand The Fox Corporation ownes the network that "The Simpsons" airs on. OK, so this guy was talking about how Fox...."Pravda" in my opinion....does let him have lots of leeway....Such as making fun of the Fox News Network on the cartoon. So far so good....
One thing is forbidden tho....After this was done a few times....It seems that the cartoon plays a news-feed while making fun of the Fox News Network on the cartoon. The fake news-feed would show headlines like Rupert Murdoch marries georgie bush and so on....Fake stuff that should be funny. Problem is....The real Fox Network had a talk with this guy and forbade that news-feed on the cartoon.....Because....In the words of the real head of The Fox Network....Their real news viewers of the real Fox News have such intelligence levels that they were confusing the fake news-feed on the Simpsons cartoon with real Fox news-feeds....They thought the news-feeds on "The Simpsons" were real news headlines on real Fox News programs........
Is it any wonder we have the political "leadership" in this country we find ourselves with today? Sadly....No....

First....One of our members asked me an interesting question concerning Fox News....
Question was....Just exactly how are people expected to tell the difference between the fake "real" news presented by Fox Corp....And the real fake news on the "Simpsons?"
Actually....That is a good question. ;-)
Second....Tomorrow, Saturday, July 21, happens to be National Day in Belgium! National Day is celebrated much like our Independence Day is celebrated here in the USA. This day celebrates the day in 1831 when Leopold of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha became the King of a newly Independent Belgium. So....And this is especially for our new member Kris....
