Old Timers Bar
Four old retired guys are walking down a street in The Villages, Florida . They turned a corner and see a sign that says, 'Old Timers Bar - all drinks 10 cents. They look at each other, and then go in, thinking this Is too good to be true. The old bartender says in a voice that carries across the room, 'Come on in and let me pour one for you! What'll it be, Gentlemen?' There seemed to be a fully-stocked bar, so each of the men ask for a martini.. In short order, the bartender Serves up four iced martinis....Shaken, not stirred, and says, 'That'll be 10 cents each, please . ' The four men stare at the bartender for a moment. Then look at each other...they can't believe their good luck. They pay the 40 cents, finish their martinis, and order another round. Again, four excellent martinis are produced with the bartender again saying, 'That's 40 cents, please.' They pay the 40 cents, but their curiosity is more than they can stand. They have each had two martinis and so far they've spent less than a dollar. Finally one of the men says, 'How can you afford to serve martinis as good as these for a dime a piece?' 'I'm a retired tailor from Boston ,' the bartender said, 'and I always wanted to own a bar. Last year I hit the Lottery for $25 million and decided to open this place. Every drink costs a dime - wine, liquor, beer, it's all the same.' Wow!!!! That's quite a story,' says one of the men. The four of them sipped at their martinis and couldn't help but notice seven other people at the end of the bar who didn't have drinks in front of them, and hadn't ordered anything the whole time they were there. One man gestures at the seven at the end of the bar without drinks and asks the bartender, 'What's with them?' The bartender says, 'Oh, they're all old retired guys from MICHIGAN waiting for happy hour when drinks are half price.'

We can't believe what happened in Haiti. Our prayers go out to those poor people. That country can't seem to catch a break. Makes you think of that old truism...."But For The Grace Of God Go I."
The American Red Cross and Save The Children are doing all they can do there....If you can afford to help out....They Could Sure Use Our help!
We have MLK Day here in the USA on Monday....This is a long weekend for many people.

Hello from usually sunny California... snowy California today. Yes we have snow. Doesn't happen very often here in the High Desert. It snowed here 5 years ago when Maryna arrived
and none until today.

Grandpa's Dilemma...
A man walks up to his house and notices his grandfather sitting on the porch, in the rocking chair, with nothing on from the waist down.
"Grandpa, what are you doing?" he exclaims. The old man looks off in the distance without answering. "Grandpa, what are you doing sitting out here with nothing on below the waist?" he asks again.
The old man slowly looks at him and says, "Well, last week I sat out here with no shirt on, and I got a stiff neck. This is your grandma's idea."

Six retired Irishmen were playing poker in Seamus O'Leary's apartment when Paddy Murphy loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest and drops dead at the table.
Michael O'Conner looks around and asks, "Oh, me boys, someone has got to tell Paddy's wife. Who will it be?" They draw straws.
Paul Gallagher picks the short one. They tell him to be discreet, be gentle, don't make a bad situation any worse.
"Discreet?" Gallagher says. "I'm the most discreet Irishman you'll ever meet. Discretion is me middle name. Leave it to me."
He goes over to Murphy's house and knocks on the door. Mrs. Murphy answers. Gallagher says, "Your husband just lost $500 and is afraid to come home."
"You tell that lowlife to drop dead!" says Murphy's wife. "I'll go tell him," Gallagher immediately replies....

Quasimodo is dead.....
After Quasimodo's death, the bishop of the Cathedral of Notre Dame sent word through the streets of Paris that a new bell ringer was needed. The bishop decided that he would conduct the interviews personally and went up into the belfry to begin the screening process.
After observing several applicants demonstrate their skills, he had decided to call it a day when an armless man approached him and announced that he was there to apply for the bell ringer's job.
The bishop was incredulous: "You have no arms!"
"No matter." said the man, "Observe!" And he began striking the bells with his face, producing a beautiful melody on the carillon.
The bishop listened in astonishment, convinced he had finally found a suitable replacement for Quasimodo. But suddenly, rushing forward to strike a bell, the armless man tripped and plunged headlong out of the belfry window to his death in the street below. The stunned bishop rushed to his side.
When he reached the street, a crowd had gathered around the fallen figure, drawn by the beautiful music they had heard only moments before. As they silently parted to let the bishop through, one of them asked, "Bishop, who was this man?"
"I don't know his name," the bishop sadly replied, "but his face rings a bell."
