HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Well, I was a "party of one" last night, and all I can say is it sucks without Nina being here. Makes me remember those "single-days" in my life, before Nina, which seriously sucked. However, some good people were with me last night. Nina and I celebrated long distance, Neil called from Scotland, we had a "phone party" for a while, thanks Neil! Also spoke with Clint & Maryna, Thanks guys! Here's a little something from Clint & Maryna....

I want to thank Mark for our time on the phone on New Year's Eve! That was nice Bud! Also, I want to thank Mark's Zhenya for calling me on New Year's Eve! That was a pleasant surprise to say the least! Mark & Zhenya are Engaged, and it won't be too long till those guys will be together here in the USA!

Nina sent us some photos of Mark & Anna, these are a few shots of their little "Pre-Engagement" get together. Mark and I have known each other from the days when he was traveling Internationally with his work. Nina has known Anna for quite some time. When we got our heads together....we figured these guys would be perfect for each other. Guess what? We were right! Here are a few photos taken at our office last week.

Our good Bud, actually, two of our good Buds, Jim and his son Joe, got back from Vitebsk a few days ago. Jim called, he and his Mila are Engaged of course! So....
CONGRATS JIM & MILA!
You know Jim....We ARE looking forward to THAT Chippy Club Party! This was Joe's first time in Vitebsk, and he had the time of his life. We figured he would. You guys can go back to last month's Newsletter to see what Jim and Joe look like. We had a little get-together here just before they hit the plane. That was just a few days before Nina hit the plane to Vitebsk as well.
Something else going on....
To all you guys who are feeling sorry for me over here, having to live on the Micro-Food and all that. Your sympathy is greatly appreciated, believe me. You can understand how much I miss Nina. Ed & Lena, Mark & Jenya, to name a few have been calling, Jake....with a few Micro-Recipes...Much appreciated guys....Michael & Irina...Thanks guys....Chris...Hope you're feeling better Bud....and then we have Bruce. Now, this is too cool. Bruce sent me a Micro Cook Book! It happens to be " A Man, A Can, A Microwave" "50 Tasty Meals You Can Nuke In No Time."
This is a very cool book that has it all in Micro-Wave cooking, it might just get me out of those Fat-Burger places! ;-)

We've got a rainy morning here in good old Akron...Tuff to get going....It's perfect stay-in-bed weather.
Just heard from our good Bud David from Down Under. He will be going back to Vitebsk next month to be with his Irina while they're waiting for their approval. David & Irina are good people....We can all appreciate & understand why he's getting back on that plane. David will be in Vitebsk while Nina's still there....I'm thinking there will be one fine get-together...David & Irina, Nina, Valentina, Alex & Luda...So I told David...."What! I'm missing yet another Great Time?"
That's a serious YES on that one! ;-)

It's mild here, some rain, not bad at all for January in Ohio. Vitebsk is a different story. They have been experiencing the same weather as Moscow, like 25 below zero F. That's weather Vitebsk hasn't seen in 130 years! Sorry about that Sweetheart! That's just too cold!
We want to welcome Steve to the group today! Steve lives on the West Coast of the USA, and he happens to be in Law Enforcement. We were talking about that, the fact that we have many members in Law Enforcement, retired and active, and lots of Military and retired Military guys in our group. Both from the USA and all over Europe. We figure all us guys have lots in common with our lives and our values. I happen to agree with Steve.

Speaking of the Military, cool Military stuff, and cool guys, Chris sent us a couple shots of an A-7. They were doing what they call a run-up on the engine. Chris is in this type work, and that's why we say around here that we have guys in our group with some seriously interesting careers! Here are the photos....Thanks Chris!

Last day of January already...Can't believe that.
Our new member Steve sent us a funny...Good timing with the Super Bowl coming up. Thanks Steve!
A man had 50 yard line tickets for the Super Bowl. As he sits down, a
man comes down and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him.
"No," he says, "The seat is empty."
"This is incredible," said the man. "Who in their right mind would
have a seat like this for the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event
in the world, and not use it?"
He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to
come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Super Bowl
we haven't been to together since we got married in 1987."
"Oh...I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find
someone else, a friend or relative, or even
a neighbor to take the seat?".
The man shakes his head. "No they're all at the funeral."
That puts me in the "Big Game Mood!" ;-)
