We have a Beautiful morning here in Akron Ohio....
Dennis sent us this nice joke a while back....To help get us all into the Spring Mood. Thanks Dennis!
The teacher gave her fifth grade class an assignment. Get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next day the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories.
Ashley said, "My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg-laying hens. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs went flying and broke and made a mess."
"What's the moral of the story?" asked the teacher.
"Don't put all your eggs in one basket!"
"Very good," said the teacher.
Next little Sarah raised her hand and said, "Our family are farmer too. But we raise chickens for the meat market. We had a dozen eggs one time, but when they hatched we only got ten chicks, and the moral to th is story is, "don't count your chickens before they're hatched."
"That was a fine story Sarah.
Michael, do you have a story to share?"
"Yes, my daddy told me this story about my Aunt Judy. Aunt Judy was a flight engineer in the Gulf War and her plane got hit. She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was a bottle of whiskey, a machine gun and a machete. She drank the whiskey on the way down so it wouldn't break and then she landed right in the middle of 100 enemy troops.
She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she ran out of bullets. Then she killed twenty more with the machete until the blade broke.
And then She killed the last ten with her bare hands."
"Good heavens," said the horrified teacher, "what kind of moral did your daddy tell you f rom that horrible story?"
"Stay the f # ck away from Aunt Judy when she's been drinking."
Sounds like good advice! ;-)

Speaking of England....Brett sent us his Across-The-Pond-Sports-Report concerning his team Arsenal! Here it is....
Bad news I’m afraid.
Sports news:
Arsenal drew 1-1 with Liverpool last Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League, which was overshadowed by a diabolical decision from the official to deny Arsenal a clear-cut penalty.
In the second leg last night, Liverpool somehow emerge victors 4-2 despite having been outplayed by Arsenal. Ironically, in stark contrast to the first leg, Liverpool got a penalty (which they scored from) that was very contentious. Over the two legs, Arsenal are now out of the Champions League, purely because Liverpool had all the luck. (I know, it sounds like sour grapes, but you only have to see the highlights to see what I mean!)
Heartbreaking stuff, very difficult to accept that the better side didn’t go through.
In between the two matches we also played in the League on Saturday, also against Liverpool (!). It turned out a 1-1 draw. At least we are not playing against Liverpool anymore this season, we’re sick of the sight of them by now!
Moving on, 5 more games this season for Arsenal.
Sorry to hear that Bud....We wish you good luck for your final 5 games!

Most of you have seen this (and forwarded to us) already but, for the record, this was the question:
What am I doing wrong?Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy. I'm not from New York . I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don't think I'm overreaching at all.
Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 200 - 250. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won't get me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?
Here are my questions specifically:
- Where do you single rich men hang out? Give me specifics- bars, restaurants, gyms
-What are you looking for in a mate? Be honest guys, you won't hurt my
feelings-Is there an age range I should be targeting (I'm 25)?
- Why are some of the women living lavish lifestyles on the upper east side so plain? I've seen really 'plain jane' boring types who have nothing to offer married to incredibly wealthy guys. I've seen drop dead gorgeous girls in singles bars in the east village. What's the story there?
- Jobs I should look out for? Everyone knows - lawyer, investment banker, doctor. How much do those guys really make? And where do they hang out? Where do the hedge fund guys hang out?
- How you decide marriage vs. just a girlfriend? I am looking for MARRIAGE ONLY
Please hold your insults - I'm putting myself out there in an honest way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I'm being up front about it. I wouldn't be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn't able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a nice home and hearth.
And this is the answer:
I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament. Firstly, I'm not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said here's how I see it.
Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a cr@ppy business deal. Here's why. Cutting through all the B.S., what you suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring my money. Fine, simple. But here's the rub, your looks will fade and my money will likely continue into perpetuity...in fact, it is very likely that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won't be getting any more beautiful!
So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation accelerates! Let me explain, you're 25 now and will likely stay pretty hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!
So in Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy and hold...hence the rub...marriage. It doesn't make good business sense to "buy you" (which is what you're asking) so I'd rather lease. In case you think I'm being cruel, I would say the following. If my money were to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. It's as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.
Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So, I wonder why a girl as "articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful" as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy. I find it hard to believe that if you are as gorgeous as you say you are that the $500K hasn't found you, if not only for a tryout.
By the way, you could always find a way to make your own money and then we wouldn't need to have this difficult conversation.
With all that said, I must say you're going about it the right way. Classic "pump and dump."

Sports news:
Arsenal lost 2-1 at the weekend to the champions-elect side, but they held more than their own and were certainly unfortunate to lose. No chance of winning the league now, but we were written off from the beginning and have easily out-performed everyone’s expectations, including my own. Just 4 more games to play, see if we can get second place. In any case, there is a lot to look forward to, and the club is in good hands.

Tomorrow the 22th will TWO thankful friends of our “family” celebrate their common 108 years birthday together (we have birthday the same day)! The next day on the 23th will the same two friends of yours celebrate their 3rd Wedding Anniversary together.
We live in our beautiful house with panorama view to “paradise”, and are very happy about living in Switzerland. Rinka and I would also have stayed together on one social income, in a cottage in Africa, because Rinka is the TOTAL opposite of a “ticket to the west”.
When we met in Minsk in 2004, we got the most FANTASTIC present any people can be given. After a few hours together the where no feelings of mutual sympathy between us, but TRUE TRUE TRUE mutual LOVE, deep from our hearts. Thank you Nina for translating more than 100 pages from me to Rinka in these days. ... Probably because of that we knew ALL about each other in advance, we “exploded” with true love so fast. Rinka has later told me, that when she woke up the next day at the hotel in Minsk (no we did not make anything there!), she knew that I would be her husband for all life.
Rinka and I LOVE LOVE LOVE each other, and are functioning so well together. We will stay all life together, and always take care of our happiness. ... You cannot buy with money, or with passing some exams, what Rinka have found together. Thank you guys for what you have done for us. We will be thankful to both of you for all life.

We have just a Stunning Spring Morning here in Akron Ohio....Hope you do too....wherever you happen to live. The birds are paired-up....Building their nests....Love is in the air all around us. We have lots of Red-Birds....Cardinals....Living here. We keep a bird-bath in the back yard and it's fun to watch the males and their females take turns at the bath. One will take a bath as the other watches from a nearby tree branch. The bath is about 50 feet or so from our table....We will try to get some video....If we can catch them in the act....Fun to watch.
That makes us "voyers"....We suppose? ;-0
